Triptych: Walking Dead

I chose to scan images from the graphic novel, The Walking Dead.  I wanted to keep the feeling of a graphic novel throughout my triptych.  I desaturated my scans, got the contrast just right, and kept them black and white.  This triptych is simple and clean.

  1. The 3rd one is the creepy-est for sure, but I like the second one the best. The almost ghosted background gives it a different feel from the others.

  2. I like that you must get involved with your pictures to really see all that is going on. I couldn't really see them in class!
Zombies scare me so I am totally bias while viewing your art.
I would have to say that your first composition is my favorite...the background blood spotts and the dead on the bottom of the page...leaves a great feel and makes me wanna pee my pants!!!

  3. The last panel is the best in my opinion. I'm only familiar with TWD series, not the comic series, but this is still amazing. The black background makes in all the more terrifying.

  4. I'll agree with everyone and say the 3rd is by far most creepy and moving. And again, I love the gross, blatant "OH SHIT!" feel it gives me. Not to mention, those mouths in the middle are pretty gnarly :) I do love your background in the first, though, so maybe you could use that somehow!

  5. I like the first one the best with the expanded blood splatter that your cropped and reused from another picture, it has a very good compositional feel and adds something to the piece that is eye-catching :)
